EVERY HUMAN BEING DESERVES HEALTHCARE

As an organisation, we believe no life should be lost due to preventable illness. Tragically, in Zambia, malaria, diarrhea, and pneumonia continue to cause high rates of maternal and neonatal deaths. This is a situation we are fighting to change.

about us

Who We Are

Access to Health Zambia (A2HealthZ), formerly known as Catholic Medical Mission Board Zambia (CMMB-Z), is a local, non-governmental organisation (NGO) focused on improving the lives of women, mothers, adolescents, and children in Zambia.

We deploy context‐responsive health interventions, while catalysing community ownership. The result is sustained impact and resilience against extreme poverty and disease.

OUR FIGHT

Why Women and Children?

Children are the future of every society. Healthy, educated, and empowered women are better able to raise healthy, educated, and confident sons and daughters. Sadly, women and children remain among the world’s most vulnerable populations.

“Young women are generally a vulnerable community, and they are especially vulnerable when it comes to contracting HIV. Almost double the number of adolescent girls will contract HIV in contrast to their male peers.”

Batuke Walusiku-Mwewa, Access to Health Zambia Chief Executive Officer
